5 Poems from Margarita Serafimova

An island Tuesday.

In the singular green eyes of a cat,

being is mirrored, unseen.

*

The possible and the impossible

were winking at each other,

and I like David Lynch was mesmerized.

*

Silently roared the quiet azure sea.

Silently, repeatedly.

*

Athenian Loquat

Between Έ. and the smooth blue sea,

in the white-silver city, I was not lost.

I was one with a tree.

*

The sea, quietened with swelter and whitened,

possesses as a Lord within itself

the epiphany of blue.
